Custom Agent Panel

User Guide & Live API Reference

📍 Panel Placement & Layout
📁 Explorer Viewlet (Default)

By default, this panel loads inside the VS Code Explorer viewlet in the primary Side Bar. You can find it listed alongside your workspace folders under the "Agent Panel" header section.

🔀 Standalone Activity Bar Tab

To give the panel its own space, simply click and hold the "Agent Panel" view header title bar, and drag it directly over to the Activity Bar (the vertical list of icons on the far left side of VS Code). This detaches it into a standalone tab view!

📥 Bottom Panel / Secondary Side Bar

You can also drag the header into the bottom Panel container (next to Terminal/Output) or to the Secondary Side Bar (on the right) to match your workspace layout preferences.

🤖 Dynamic Customization
⚡ Ask Your AI Assistant

Because AI agents have read/write access to your workspace, you can tell them to customize your panel! Just ask them:
"put some quick action git buttons in the agent panel." "make a mockup of what the page might look like in the agent panel."
The panel will hot-reload the changes instantly on save.
